Abercrombie & Fitch, also called “A&F” is an American clothing company that also produces jeans. When the company was founded in 1892 by David T. Abercrombie it was an outdoor outfits and sporting goods company, however once it was purchased in 1988 by The Limited it was transformed into a casual luxury clothing store. A&F targets youth and is thought to portray the American teenager to the international scene. A&F’s advertisements are known for showing youthful, provocative models. A&F has a casual look that resembles the Southern California lifestyle, as well as a college prepster vibe. The company’s jeans come in bootcut, flare, skinny, super skinny (leggings), distressed, cuffed, and cropped styles. Most of A&F’s jeans have a more vintage, destroyed look for a casual luxury vibe. Washes include light, medium, dark and jeans also can come in white, black, or grey. Abercrombie and Fitch also owns a company called Hollister Co. which makes similar jeans and clothing for a cheaper price.
